This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Olivia Gourmet, LLC, doing business as Olivia Olive Oil (“we,” “us,” “our”), collects when you visit oliviaevoo.com (the “Site”) or buy from us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We sell and ship only within the United States, and this policy is written for U.S. customers.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us.
- When you place an order — name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, order contents, and any gift message you write.
- When you create an account — name, email address, username, password (stored encrypted), and your order history.
- When you sign up for our newsletter — email address, and your name if you give it.
- When you contact us through a form — name, email address, phone number if given, and whatever you write in your message.
- When you buy a gift certificate — the recipient’s name and, if you supply it, their email address.
- When you book a class or event — name, contact details, and any guest details you provide.
Payment information. When you pay by card, your card number, expiry and security code are transmitted directly to our payment processor, Authorize.Net. We do not receive or store your full card number. What we can see is limited to the card type, the last four digits, and whether the payment succeeded.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site we and our service providers receive standard technical information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits. This is used to operate the Site, keep it secure, and understand general usage.
Cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies that make the shop work — remembering what is in your cart, keeping you signed in, and completing checkout securely. The Site cannot function without these.
- Security cookies set by our firewall to help detect and block malicious traffic.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, which help us understand how the Site is used — see Section 2a below.
- Google Tag Manager, which we use to manage the measurement tags on the Site and which may set cookies on your device.
We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or third-party behavioral advertising on the Site, and we do not allow advertising networks to collect information about you through it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the cart and checkout will not work. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to browse or buy.
What we do not collect. We do not ask for or collect Social Security numbers, driver’s licence numbers, government ID numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or health information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- process, fulfil, ship and, where you choose in-store pickup, prepare your order;
- send you transactional messages — order confirmations, shipping notifications, pickup-ready notices, and refund confirmations;
- answer your questions and provide customer service;
- process returns, exchanges, refunds and warranty issues;
- keep records required for accounting, sales tax and other legal obligations;
- detect, investigate and prevent fraud, card testing, and abuse of the Site;
- understand how visitors find and use the Site, so we can improve it (see Section 2a);
- maintain and improve the Site; and
- send marketing emails if you have asked to receive them — see Section 5.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
2a. Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how people find and use the Site — which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, which products are viewed, and where people run into difficulty. We use this to improve the shop, not to build profiles of individuals.
What Google Analytics receives: pages viewed and the time spent on them, the site or search that referred you, approximate location derived from your IP address (typically city level), device type, browser and operating system, and a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie that lets Google recognise a returning browser. Because our shop is connected to analytics, Google also receives e-commerce events — the items viewed and added to a cart, and, when an order is placed, the order value, the items ordered and the order number. It does not receive your name, address, email address, phone number or any payment details.
Google does not log or store your full IP address in Google Analytics 4; it is used to derive approximate location and is then discarded.
Advertising features are switched off. We do not enable Google Signals, ads personalisation, or audience sharing with advertising products, and we do not use analytics data for advertising.
Retention. We configure Google Analytics to retain user-level and event-level data for 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Aggregate, non-identifying reports may be kept for longer.
How to opt out. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting information about your visits by installing Google’s Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. Google’s own handling of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
3. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to do work for us, and only for that purpose. Our main providers are:
- GoDaddy — website hosting and content delivery. Receives everything stored on the Site, plus technical visit data.
- Authorize.Net — payment processing. Receives your card details, name and billing address.
- ShipStation and carriers such as USPS, UPS and FedEx — shipping labels and delivery. Receive your name, shipping address, phone, email and order contents.
- Brevo (with FluentSMTP) — sending transactional email. Receives your name, email address and the contents of the message.
- Mailchimp — newsletter list management, if you subscribe. Receives your email address and name.
- Google (Analytics 4, Tag Manager, and the embedded map on our contact page) — website analytics, tag management and showing our shop location. Receives technical visit data, pages viewed and e-commerce events; see Section 2a.
- Wordfence — website security and firewall. Receives your IP address and request details.
We may also disclose information when we reasonably believe we are legally required to — in response to a subpoena, court order, or lawful request from a public authority — or where necessary to protect our rights, our customers, or the safety of others. If our business is sold or reorganized, customer information may transfer as part of the transaction; we would note that on this page.
4. How long we keep information
We keep order records for as long as we need them to fulfil the order and to meet our accounting, sales tax, warranty and other legal obligations. In practice that means order and customer records are retained indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them and we are not required to keep them.
Account information is kept while your account is open. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are delivered to us by email and are kept with our business correspondence rather than stored in a database on the Site.
5. Marketing email, and how to stop it
We send marketing email only to people who have asked for it. Order confirmations, shipping notices and other messages about a purchase you have made are not marketing — we send those because you bought something, and they are not affected if you unsubscribe from our newsletter.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address. You can unsubscribe at any time using that link, or by emailing info@oliviaevoo.com, and we will action it promptly.
6. Your choices, and how to reach us about your information
You may:
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask for a copy;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong — you can also update your own name, address and contact details by signing in to your account;
- ask us to delete your personal information, or to close your account;
- unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
To make any of these requests, email info@oliviaevoo.com or call (615) 771-9595. We may need to verify your identity before acting, to be sure we are not giving your information to someone else.
One limit worth being clear about: we may not be able to delete records of completed orders, because we are required to keep transaction records for tax and accounting purposes. Where that applies, we will tell you what we are keeping and why.
7. Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal or a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal indicating that you do not want to be tracked across websites.
We do not currently respond to DNT or GPC signals. We use analytics to understand activity on our own Site (Section 2a), but we do not track visitors across other websites, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and describe how we handle these signals.
Third-party tracking: apart from the providers listed in Section 3, we do not permit third parties to collect personal information about your activity across different websites over time through our Site. If you would rather not be included in our analytics, see the opt-out options in Section 2a.
8. How we protect information
The Site is served over HTTPS, card payments are handled by a PCI-compliant payment processor, and we run a website firewall and restrict administrative access to the people who need it. We do not store full card numbers.
No website or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
9. Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at info@oliviaevoo.com and we will delete it.
10. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites we do not control — for example a producer’s site, or a shipping carrier’s tracking page. This policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before giving them your information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to how we use your personal information, we will say so clearly on this page before or when the change takes effect. Please check back occasionally.
